Lake Brosno Monster

In 1997 Lake Brosno north of Moscow was the site of apparitions by a large unknown creature which terrified the lakeshore dwellers as it swam close to local settlements. Russian scientists believed the creature to be a large fish - perhaps some sort of specimen of sturgeon, but positive identification of the animal has not been possible.
